"“Reciclagem que Transforma” is a project for the development of recycling cooperatives and cooperative members, carried out in partnership by Dow, Fundación Avina and Boomera, recently recognized by the “Latinoamérica Verde Awards” as one of the 500 best projects of 2019.

In the 2019 pilot, 5 cooperatives were contemplated - three in São Paulo, one in Jacareí and another in Nova Odessa, all in the state of São Paulo. The first phase has already presented significant results, which were recognized by the award as a proposal for an “innovative and high social impact environment”. During the program, 205 collectors from the 5 cooperatives recovered 4,429 tons of materials, from January to October 2019 - this represents 37% more than in 2018. The cooperatives' revenues increased, on average, by 35% last year."

Encouraging the circular economy, the construction of our first plastic route in Latin America was carried out. The project helped recover more than 1 ton of post-consumer plastic for the improvement of the asphalt of 4 km of road. It is an official highway in Mexico, in the district of Uriangato, Guanajuato. Importantly, ElvaloyTM (Dow Asphalt Additive) was critical to achieving the result.

"We are Circular Reconversion,

Our intention is that they evaluate what we have developed in Circular Economy.
We are interested in partnering with a company or institution to partner and enhance our developments in the circular economy

In Circular Reconversion.
We convert waste into resources.
We solve environmental pollution problems with different alternatives to the final disposal of waste in landfills, landfills or incineration.
We have proven products, prototypes and processes to convert industrial and domestic sludge, waste and biosolids into industrial raw material.
We transform environmental liabilities into valuable assets.

We have developed products, processes and solutions applicable in different types of industries, productive unions and service provider companies.
We propose a business, labor, academic and social connectivity to promote the circular economy by giving value and utility to what was not useful.

For the circular economy we have developed the following:
1) RC-300 odor remover.
2) The water-based binder RC-10.
3) RC-2021 degreaser
4) Different processes to convert waste into resources.
With our products and processes, we transform waste into industrial raw material, including those classified as non-recoverable from:
Plastics, vegetables, coffee, tires, textiles, rubber, leather, PVC, synthetics, canvas, adhesive labels, vinyls, polyester, silicone paper, eva, foam, latex, polypropylene, papers and tetra pack among others.

The residues can be clean, dirty, mixed, in bad condition, with adhesive and even with silicone coating and we convert them together or separately into inert, waterproofed, rigid, semi-rigid or flexible sheets from 1 mm thick.
They can also be manufactured by rolls.

We have prototypes of:
1) Boards such as SuperBoard and Drywall panels, bricks, floors, tiles and ceilings.
2) Hanging paper, veneers, insulating and waterproofing fabrics.
3) Leather sheets, tires, synthetics and fabrics
4) ACP (alternative crops product) as a substitute for soil and / or fertilizer for crops.

With our products and processes we transform sludge, biosolids and waste in the following way:
1) Applying RC-300 Odor Remover.
With this product we eliminate bad odors in waste, sludge, biosolids, and industrial and domestic wastewater.
It is applied to organic and inorganic materials to inert the organic fraction that is decomposing or close to decomposing.
The residues can be together or separately, clean or dirty, mixed or in bad condition.
Then we go on to convert the waste into a homogeneous mass.
2) Adding the RC-10 water-based binder.
We apply this binder to the homogeneous mass and transform it into other masses or powders that serve as raw material to make products for industries such as construction, agriculture, textiles and leather goods.
3) With industrial or artisan processes.
We have prototypes to make construction products such as Superboard, floors, ceilings, veneers,
sheets or insulating and waterproofing fabrics.
The products are inert, fused, encapsulated clean and odorless.
The ACP (alternative crops product). ACP is a product designed for the use of sludge and plant residues. It serves as a compost or as a substitute for soil.
It is enriched with natural nutrients and microorganisms.
ACP, is a different experience to grow and ideal for those who are attracted by the alternative of their own planting, maintenance and harvest in urban areas.
We have an artisanal process that was designed to work with vulnerable populations, focused on mothers who are heads of families to work from their homes.
Using only their hands, supplies and a table, they stick without using seams, fabrics, leathers and synthetics left over from cutting and making in the textile and leather industries.
The waste becomes useful raw material to make clothes, bags, backpacks, footwear, furniture, appliques or accessories.

Within this context we realize the relevance of creating a project with the theme Environmental Education to reflect and act within the principles that value what needs to be taken care of, the Environment.
Sustainability is the central theme of this project in which the primary objective is to serve as an example, a school LIXO ZERO.
The SER School aims to develop actions that protect the environment, including the correct destination of all recyclable waste, non-recyclable waste and investments in economically viable sustainable proposals.
In this project, other actions are also developed, such as the awareness of sustainable practices in all practices within the school environment, including the reuse of materials, recycling of cooking oil, composting, production of food for the worm farm, use of rainwater , among others.
All these actions will be developed through educational proposals with the objective of making children, families and the population aware of the importance of acting in favor of the Environment, thus enabling a better world for future generations. Our educational proposals will meet the concept of the three “Rs” reduce, reuse and recycle, which includes changes in behavior to reduce the impact of waste on nature.
The project will be launched in the community for the common good, the actions will be shared with the public authorities, the Municipality of Orleans.
The intention of the Projeto Escola Lixo Zero is, at first, to suggest the expansion of the selective collection service to all schools in the municipality and later to demand that all neighborhoods be served by selective collection.
